27-12-2012  MATINEE OF THE PROJECT "LETTER TO SANTA CLAUS"

Nearly less than a month ago, the "AYALA" charity fund launched the project "Letter to Santa Claus." 52 pupils of special (correctional) boarding school #1, #7, and #8 wrote letters to Santa Claus.  Envelopes with these letters were the "decoration" of Christmas trees that were installed at the head office of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and Saks Fifth Avenue.  Employees and visitors of these institutions read children's letters and put into envelopes needed amounts of money to buy gifts, and someone decided to buy a present by himself. In the boxes it was collected 323,663 tenge.

And so today, in a clear sunny and frosty morning, we gathered all the children who wrote letters in the "Arman" cinema.  Holiday consisted of three parts - at first the children and their teachers looked a cheerful cartoon about a northern deer "Niko 2". At the output, both children and their teachers were delighted with the cartoon.

After that, around a beautifully decorated Christmas tree was held a little show with a pirate, clown, Snow Maiden and of course Santa Claus. The children took part in the competitions, recited poems and for that they received small prizes. After this part, the ceremony of gifts delivery was held, about which the children asked Santa Claus. Part of the gifts were given personally by the staff of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, who were able to come to the holiday and see the happy smiles of the children.  Children received toys, sports equipment, creative kits, cell phones, encyclopedias, and many sledges to ride.  Some of the children have asked as a gift hats, scarves and gloves, and judging by this and ordered sledges, our orphanages are very good forecasters, winter is very snowy and frosty.

We would like to thank separately the administration of the "Arman" cinema and the company "Rakhimzhan", because the film showing, treats for children and their premises were provided free of charge and from the heart. The cinema partners are «Something Else», «Mint design», «Vanilla catering» companies provided Christmas decoration, laid the table for the children and teachers and gave the sweet surprises. In addition, each child received in the way the burger menu. General sponsor of the event was the Pony Express Company. This is first experience of cooperation of the company with charitable organizations, but representatives of the Pony Express are eager to continue their good works.

The greatest joys for the matinee organizers were happy smiles of children, who received generous, helpful and desirable gifts.

Summing up the results of the project "Letter to Santa Claus" in Astana and Almaty, we want to inform you that from the boxes it was collected 630,213 tenge, and the happy owners of the gifts became 102 children.
