The birthday of Florence Nightingale, a founder of the Medical Sisterhood as a profession, has quite recently begun to be commemorated in our country. But this holiday, International day of medical sister, became popular with physicians fast. In fact, at times unnoticeable comrade-in-arms of doctors, middle and junior medical sisters, are basis of the system of health protection.

Without their warm attention even "brilliantly" operated by surgeons patients with the most different diagnoses may perish. And to remember the feat of army of many thousands of "sisters" as they were affectionately named in troops during the Great Patriotic War.
