28-09-2013  ANOTHER CHARITY BKS RACE HELD IN ALMATY

In the Park of the First President of Kazakhstan in Almaty today held the second 10 km BKS race. British-Kazakh Society has initiated charity races in Astana, Almaty and London. In the capital of Kazakhstan there was a semi - marathon, and in Almaty and London distance was 10 km. This sports event is traditionally was of a charitable nature, and was organized with the close support of Almaty City Administration.

All funds rose during the preparation and conduction of BKS race will be directed for the "Breathe, baby-Uralsk" project. The project aims at equipping of a regional perinatal center’s resuscitation department of the Uralsk city with vital medical equipment that allows doctors to nurse even very preterm infants.

The festive atmosphere was provided by the most favorable for the multi-kilometer races Almaty weather. Numerous athletes and their fans with enthusiasm held a pep workout, organized by master trainer and manager of a fitness World Class club Valikhan Ten. Significant support to the race was provided by the famous Kazakhstan athletes representing the Confederation of combat sports and strength sports. Autographs and opportunity to take photos with Olympic champion Serik Sapiev, Zulfiya Chinshanlo, Akzhurek Tanatarov and the winner of the tournament "Kazakhstan Barysy - 2011"  judoka Ulan Ryskul were for participants and fans of the sports festival a nice bonus.

Exactly at 11:00 athletes started and went on a long distance in one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Modern equipment has allowed the race organizers to accurately determine the time of each athlete on the cut-off 2 km, 6 km and 10 km.

The sponsors of the charity BKS race were "Air Astana" airline, KIOGE, ENRC, «Technodom" companies and the National Bank of Kazakhstan. General information sponsor – is Muzzone TV channel. Corporate donation made ​​the Ericsson Kazakhstan company.  By the way the best runner among corporate athletes was exactly the representative of the Ericsson Kazakhstan company.

After the finish of the most persistent athlete a colorful award ceremony took place. Firstly on the podium rose women. Third place went to Michelle Coupal, the second was Anna-Karin Lindblom and the gold finalist among girls was Ekaterina Shatnaya. The representatives of the stronger sex shared rewards as follows: third place won Marlen Nenerbaev, Nurlan Kumar won the silver, and the winner was Michael Krasilov.

We want especially mention the participation in the charity race the British ambassador in Kazakhstan Carolyn Brown, members of the Almaty marathon club, stars of Kazakhstan box Serik Sapiev, Aizhan Yesim, Sophia Tasmagambetova. The oldest member of the race is 66-year-old Marat Baltabaev.

Hot drinks, meals for athletes and guests were provided by a Palladium restaurant complex, and mineral water which is so necessary for stayers, provided the «Dream Technology KZ» company with the "Asem Ai Saryagash" brand name.

During the 10 km BKS race in Almaty 2,632,450.00 tenge has collected. Gauhar Bramley-Fenton, an executive director of the British-Kazakh Society recognized the experience of working with the "AYALA" charity foundation as very successful and effective. The 10 km BKS race in London, on her view, should become as productive as Kazakhstan charity races.
