26-05-2008  A BAD CASE – A DEVICE HAS BREATHED FOR A GIRL FOR A WEEK

At the beginning of May of this year a 5-years-old girl entered in a grave condition a Child's infectious hospital #1. A sick girl at once was placed in an intensive care unit. Cramps which passed into epistasus were caused by toxic encephalitis, which is characterized by epileptic type of attacks following in succession. Life of a little patient was under a serious threat.
Along with complex intensive medicinal therapy doctors had to connect a girl to the artificial ventilation machine, which was quite recently presented to the hospital by our fund. After 7 days during which a "machine" breathed for a girl, the state of patient became better. She was able to breathe independently and soon the girl was transferred into an ordinary care unit.

Doctors marked then, that without the exhalation system of "SAVINA" the chances on a survival for a girl were fat. This was a prime example of help of all people which assisted our fund to collect money for the newest equipment. It is not the first patient whom the equipment presented by us  helped to survive, but still this was the hardest case.
