On the territory of the regional special boarding school №1 of Kokshetau city a complex was built at a cost of 1 474 300 tenge provided by the charity foundation “AYALA” within the frameworks of the project “The yard of my childhood”. The children’s playground included a two seat swing set on the spring “Helicopter”, a merry-go-round wheel, a summerhouse “Carriage”, a children’s play complex and play set. Among other things 2 laptops from the Ernst&Young Company were given to the boarding school.
A charity foundation “AYALA” has implemented the project “The yard of my childhood” since 2007. In the result of this project 40 playgrounds at the total cost of 82 million tenge were built. The children’s play and sports grounds were built on the territories of the boarding schools, children’s hospitals, sanatoriums, orphanages and other state educational and medical institutions. The project has already covered the cities of Almaty, Astana, Semei, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taldykorgan. Temirtau, Petropavlovsk, Atyrau, Ereimentau and Kokshetau.
The regional special boarding school №1 of Kokshetau city was founded in 1963. This institution is designed for children with mental retardation and intellectual disorders. At present day 260 pupils study at this school. They are pupils from 3rd to 9th grades.
The pupils of correctional schools for children with intellectual disorders are often distinct in physical hyperactivity. Therefore, having a play and sports ground the children can direct all their superfluous energy into the calm stream.
“We want to express many thanks to the charity foundation “AYALA” for their help. The children already play and engage in sport activities on these grounds. Our teachers give lessons on these playgrounds. The sport exercises help to develop motility and flexibility”, - reported a social teacher of the correctional boarding school №1 of Kokshetau city, Aizhan KARIMOVA.
“The project “The yard of my childhood” has exceeded the boundaries of Almaty city long ago. Our foundation builds children’s grounds all over Kazakhstan. And we put a signature on the elements of these playgrounds: “Gift of charity foundation “AYALA”. In such a way we complete our main mission – raising the charity culture and traditions in our country”, - thinks a vice president of public relations of the charity foundation “AYALA” Zhangeldy SARSENOV.
