More than a hundred of children gathered in the cinema center “Arman” on the threshold of New Year. Each of them made a wish and dozens of ordinary Kazakhstan people made their wishes come true. The pupils of special boarding schools #6 and #7 for children with intellectual development disorders were given presents by charity providers in the frames of campaign “A letter to Santa Claus”. Multicoloured cars and dolls, children’s cosmetics and sets for junior artists, mobile phones and books. This is only a part of surprises that children received with delight. Funny animators kept them busy the whole day. One event was more interesting than another: magic tricks, show of soap bubbles, very funny Santa Claus and Snow Maiden and, certainly, dances around the Christmas tree. To cut a long story short, two hours went too quickly. Besides, the children did their best by choosing a New Year costume. There were Pinocchio, Princess Frog, Napoleon, Kings and Princesses. Each child made a creative approach to the morning frost.
Let us remind that the charity foundation “AYALA” decorated Christmas trees set in different offices and shopping centers. Those who wish could choose an envelope, read a letter and put money for present to the child. Then this envelope was dropped into the box. This year our Christmas trees were set in the offices of the companies “Chevron”, “Oriflame”, Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia and also in the public places: Saks Fifth Avenue (shopping center Esentai mall) and in the head office of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan. The sponsors and partners of the project in Astana were the companies “Viled Astana”,AB Restaurants and shopping center “Keruen”. In total in 2016 478 pupils of special (correctional) boarding schools of Almaty and Astana took part in the foundation’s campaign. In comparison with the last year these figures rose up by times. Let us remind that the project “A letter to Santa Claus” is implemented by the charity foundation “AYALA” for the fourth year running. In the past three years the presents from a kind magician were received by 588 pupils of boarding schools and orphanages of Almaty and Astana.
