Today, in a special (correctional) boarding school in Astana for children with intellectual disabilities the sixth annual city competition "Golden Hands Master" passed. This competition was attended by children with disabilities from general education schools and pupils from correctional school. The "Golden Hands Master" competition is held for a support and reveal of talents and abilities of children, helps these children to develop their creativity. As the competition was held on the 12^th of   April, and this day is the World Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics, all tasks were confined to the topic of space. The competition consists of 4 creative workshops - cooking, designing, drawing and embroidery, in which children are creating, and a jury assess their creations. 

Pleased to note that in today's competition the jury was international.  The jury consisted of caring for children people: Czech Ambassador's wife Mrs. Eleanor Kopecky, wife of the Israeli ambassador Mrs. M. Tasman, Ukraine Ambassador’s wife Tatyana Nikolaevna Domina and the principal of "Haileybury Astana" school Mr. Andrew Auster. 

To create a festive atmosphere a representative of the foundation Xenia Filimonova in Astana and our staff from Almaty done everything, what was possible.  It was organized soap bubbles show and a place of the competition was decorated with beautiful balloons.

In the competition there were no winners and losers, all the children received prizes. With the participation of the international team of the jury, the "AYALA" foundation and most of the main characters - the children, the competition was very cheerful and bright.

Recall that our foundation recently took custody of the special (correctional) boarding school in Astana but we've managed to hold for the children few bright and memorable holidays.
