The project “Let’s do good deeds” of the “AYALA” charity foundation became a trend of the 2013. "Small" holidays that we hold for the children of the educational institutions are confined to the different dates - the Day of spontaneous acts of kindness, the International Theatre Day, the World Day of cartoons and other international, but a little-known holidays. These dates have become a cause for the holidays that “AYALA" foundation holds for its children.

"The European branch of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) in 1994 decided to create the Day of the Sun. This was done in order to attract public attention to the possibilities of using renewable sources of energy" and the "AYALA" foundation decided to join the initiative of celebrating the Day of the sun and make the 3^rd of May another symbol of spring. On this day in the special (correctional) boarding school № 1 the hearing-impaired children and in the regional orphanage № 1 were conducted colorful, in the true sense of the word, holidays.

The event started at the boarding school № 1 for the hearing-impaired children, with the opening of a children's playground, which became the next step of the implementation of the "Yard of my childhood" project. General sponsor was the network of "Mamamia" and “Ciao pizza restaurants, they transferred to the "AYALA" charity foundation 784 080 tenge for the construction of the playground.

During the implementation of the "Yard of my childhood" project the "AYALA" charity foundation with the support of the Club of the Foundation’s Friends, "Chevron" company, the national airline "Air Astana" and other sponsors, has built a beautiful and functional playgrounds in children's sanatoriums and boarding schools in different cities like Almaty , Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Petropavlovsk and Shymkent. All, without exceptions, playgrounds, which we have built, are always became a decoration of the area and a favorite place for games not only of the residents of the boarding schools or health centers, but also for children from all over the surrounding areas.

In addition to the playground the “AYALA” charity foundation always tries to refine the territory on which children are playing. This time the «Biz-Ber» company free of charge decorated the boarding school’s area with flowerpots and 20 sculptures that children painted themselves. To make the opening of the playground even more meaningful and memorable, on this day the "AYALA" charity foundation transferred to the football section 10 new football balls, and a Visa company transferred to the dormitory an original construction in the form of an airplane, where children spend their free time.

On this the celebration of the Day of the Sun was not over, the “AYALA” foundation went further, to the regional orphanage № 1. Writers from the School of Graffiti of Almaty city came to the orphanage and painted a dull gray fence with bright, multi-colored graffiti. Guys from the School of Graffiti gave a master class in drawing and held a painting competition on the asphalt for children. Network of the "Mamamia" and “Ciao pizza” restaurants treated all the participants of the holiday with the delicious pizza. The budget of the "Day of the Sun" holiday was 165,000 tenge; the money was spent on the purchase of paints and brushes for the two institutions.

We are confident that the Day of the Sun will be for the children, volunteers and teachers a new reason for fun.
