Let us remind that within the frameworks of the project “Let’s do good deeds” our foundation organizes different children’s fests which are not commonly celebrated. Today in the central state university there was a campaign “Night in museum” devoted to the International Museum’s Day which is celebrated on 18th of May. We invited 50 pupils of Almaty boarding school #17 to this interesting and unusual event. The children from needy, incomplete and problem families live in this boarding school. The pupils of the boarding school almost don’t visit any museums with their parents, but today the central state museum provided them such opportunity. After 17:00 the doors of all museum halls were opened. The visitors could taste one of the healthy Kazakh national drinks – fresh shubat. The children walked with the interest in the museum asking lots of questions to their teachers and museum workers. Besides, they tried their hands in the art of Japanese calligraphy, ceramics and modeling of figures from clay.
The evening program was very varied; we saw dances of nationalities that live in Kazakhstan, the show of national head wear and many other things. The children and teachers remained very pleased, but the most important result of this fest was that the children discovered additional part of pride for their country.
