The big city pupils helped their peers. Dozens of children’s paintings were sold in a matter of days and collected funds will be provided for those who need it. In Astana a charity selling exhibition of art works “Come into blossom, our homeland of Kazakhstan”, occasioned with the 25^th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, has finished. The pupils of affiliated branches of the operating fund “Nursultan Nazarbayev Educational Foundation” - Miras International School and Miras kindergarten presented 80 paintings for the buyer’s judgment. From them 48 paintings were sold for a total amount of 226,000 tenge. It should be noted that the cost of the work was up to the amount of 500 tenge and higher.

Let us recall that earlier in the week the similar charity selling exhibition of children’s paintings was held in Almaty. On that exhibition 23 works were sold for a total amount of 275,000 tenge. Consequently, thanks to the non-indifferent citizens and art lovers 501,000 tenge was collected. The money will be transferred to the project of the charity foundation “AYALA” – “ART-THERAPY” for the regional special boarding school #5 for children with disabilities of Saran town, Karaganda region. At present time 181 children aged from 5 to 18 years study at this school. These children suffer from intellectual development disorders, which may be often complicated by emotional and volitional disorders. The pupils of the boarding school can hardly apply elementary knowledge on practice, the specially-equipped classes and art workshops are required for their education. Therefore, the boarding school has planned to open a cabinet of art studio.
