With the support of Samsung the Montessori Correction and Development Room has been opened in the Esik regional boarding school. It is equipped with dozens of different game and developmental elements that help in correcting the intellectual development of children, and is available for students of all ages.

For several months the employees of Samsung and AYALA Foundation, together with school teachers, have been selecting equipment which is convenient and interesting for both elementary school and high school students. Thanks to this, in Esik there is now one of the best developing classes in Almaty region.

The class can simultaneously have three teachers and up to 20 students. In the Montessori Room they can develop tactile sensations, switch attention, train focusing on various activities - and all this in an exciting, playful way. Teachers show a child a rational and easy way to work with the material, give an example of actions with it.

Social adaptation of pupils of correctional boarding schools according to the pedagogical system of Maria Montessori is used in many countries, including Kazakhstan. It helps children with disabilities to correctly form and develop the psychophysical functions of an individual. The Montessori educational method allows correct cognitive functions, sensory capabilities, providing a child with a versatile development and the opportunity to develop at his own pace. Montessori class materials are very easy to use and correspond to the age peculiarities of children, taking into account the degree of the intellectual deficiency.
