Today in the Almaty regional boarding school №15 for children from low-income families a Christmas matinee for all pupils from 1 to 11 grades was held. This event was the final stage of the "Letter to Santa Claus" project, the "AYALA" charity foundation and Samsung Electronics company.

For the "AYALA" charity foundation the "Letter to Santa Claus" project is a tradition of the past few years. This project consists of several parts. First, children from children's social institutions write letters fairytale character. Then the Christmas tree, decorated with these letters is established in an office, bank or a store. Employees and visitors read these letters, then, either buy gifts for themselves or together with a letter of the child immersed in the box the amount, required for their purchase. By the appointed date of the matinee all gifts are collected or bought, signed and at the matinee day children receive gifts from the hands of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden. Each year the "AYALA" foundation selects a new boarding school or an orphanage, in which takes place the final matinee of the project. This year pupils not only of the boarding №15, but also children from the orphanage №1, №9, regional orphanage №1 will receive presents under the "Letter to Santa Claus" project.

Over the years, the "Letter to Santa Claus" project is supported by different companies, this year one of the active supporters of the project was the Samsung Electronics company. This company is a leader in the field of electronics. In addition, by its charity work the SamsungElectronics shows an example for all businesses operating in Kazakhstan. For 2 years already the «SAMSUNG + AYALA" project is continuing, under which children's hospitals, sanatoriums and boarding schools received from the SamsungElectronics company technique for rooms of social and domestic orientation, equipment to improve the conditions of stay of pupils of educational institutions, as well as of patients of children's hospitals undergoing severe and lengthy treatment as well as their parents, who are with the children.

This year, the Samsung Electronics company's employees responded to requests of 156 pupils from the boarding school № 15 for children from low-income families. The children asked Santa Claus a large number of sleds, ice skates, radio-controlled cars, talking dolls, popular encyclopedias, mobile phones, educational games, colorful clothes and much more. The matinee was attended by volunteers from the Almaty SamsungElectronics office. In addition, the artists of the Almaty State Circus performed for the children. Gifts are traditionally handed Santa Claus and Snow Maiden.  

The SamsungElectronics company made a gift not only to children but also to all who live, study, work in it. On the New Year's Eve boarding school from the SamsungElectronics company received 8 laptops, 4 printers and 6 vacuum cleaners.

“We are very pleased that the "AYALA" charity foundation has paid attention to our needs. This year we have received as a charity from the foundation a large number of sports equipment, on the territory of our boarding school two playgrounds appeared. And we are very pleased that this year ended in such a colorful holiday that gave us the "AYALA" foundation and the Samsung company”, - said the director of the boarding school №15 Alia Bahtyrgenovna.
