389 people have participated in the Astana Marathon-2017 to support the innovative project "Controlled hypothermia" of the AYALA Charity Foundation. The employees of JSC ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Temirzholenergo LLP, ATFBank JSC, Interlog multimodal, Tsesnabank JSC, Nomad Insurance JSC have improved their performances in the race, these companies acted as corporate participants of the marathon. Their contributions to the "Controlled hypothermia" project helped to collect 2 406 300 tenge.

The funds raised from the marathon, were used to purchase a therapeutic hypothermia apparatus for the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health in Astana. The apparatus allows controlling a temperature of a body of a newborn or a part of it. With the help of this equipment medical specialists save fetal cells which can be harmed from an increase in a body temperature. The unit is mainly used during a brain surgery to avoid neurological outcomes of cerebral disorders associated with hypoxia of a newborn.

Famous athletes of our country - Olympic boxing champion Daniyar Yeleusinov, Olympic Games medal winners in free-style wrestling Elmira Syzdykova and Ekaterina Larionova also supported the marathon participants and held photo and autograph sighing sessions.
