The pupils of capital orphanage were talking about the proper use of good-quality water. In the interactive form the children discovered the ways of preserving the life blood. Then a filter for drinking water from company Caprari was given as a present to the children. Today the company is one of the world leaders in the sphere of making energetically and ecologically-efficient solutions on water provision, irrigation and water removal. Behind the backs of employees there is an experience of many years in the realization of projects connected with the economy problems of water resources.
The charity foundation “AYALA” and representatives of joint EU/UNDP/UNECE project “Supporting Kazakhstan’s transition to a green economy model” also supported the Day of Water in the orphanage. According to the words of organizers, by such initiatives the children will acquire the foundations of effective water usage. It is very important nowadays as according to the data of UN experts, approximately one sixth of the world population don’t have access to clean drinking water and one thirds – to sanitary water. The global climate change can complicate even more the situation with water provision. By the way Kazakhstan has limited reserves of water resources, so it also occupies place in the group of risk on provision of good-quality water.
The organizers promised that during the whole project “Supporting Kazakhstan’s transition to a green economy model” they will discuss with children from different cities and institutions on the ecological topics.
