Today the opening ceremony of social and domestic orientationroom was held (SDO) in specialized "Zhanuya" complex.

The specialized "Zhanuya" complex includes an orphanage, boarding school and kindergarten. Currently, in the “Zhanuya” there are 350 pupils, aged from 3 to 18 years old. The “Zhanuya” is one of the oldest and largest children's social institutions. Besides of school education, children receive also work skills in a variety of areas - sewing, carpentry, design, hairdressing, etc. However, the key basis is life skills at home, where SDO rooms played an important role.

These rooms allow teaching children how to use complex appliances, developing care skills of their dwellings, cooking, table manners, serving and other skills that are needed to person in independent life. Teachers of all boarding schools in which the "AYALA" foundation equipped such rooms note that pupils become more self-reliant and adaptable to everyday life. It is no secret that many graduates of orphanages and boarding schools used to the fact that others taking care of them - cooking, washing clothes. SDO rooms significantly increase the chances of successful social adaptation of children raised in orphanages.

The SDO room in the "Zhanuya" complex was equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine and cook top, oven and extractor fan. The “AYALA” charity foundation from its side passed to the SDO room a kitchen, living room furniture, dishes, tablecloths and cutlery, i.e. in fact everything that need to start learning. Cost of furniture, interior articles and dishes is 479 200 tenge.

Partner of the “AYALA” foundation in this project was the South Korean giant of electronics and household appliances producing- the Samsung Electronics Company. As the head of corporate marketing department of the «Samsung Electronics Kazakhstan and Central Asia» Diyar DOSKHOZHAEV said: “Samsung is always striving to contribute to the social development of the countries where it operates. We are delighted to be part of such an important project and we hope that the new SDO room will allow pupils of the "Zhanuya" complex reveal and realize new talents and skills that will be useful, both in everyday life and in their future professional careers”.

Director of the specialized "Zhanuya" complex Talgat SHALGIMBAYEV said: “I have known the “AYALA” charity foundation for a long time. Good deeds which does the foundation for my wards here and when I was a director of the boarding school № 7, show high professionalism and literacy of the foundation’s workers. The foundation tries to do everything to prepare children for independent adult life. We want to thank the Samsung Company for providing the most modern equipment, the dream of many”.

“All our employees, especially teachers of our ward educational institutions like such projects. Implementation of the project became an example of true partnership.  Our foundation has equipped all rooms with furniture and the Samsung Company has provided its equipment at no charge. Opening this room we timed for the spring Nauryz holiday”, - said Zhangeldy SARSENOV, vice-president of the "AYALA" charity foundation.

Pupils of the specialized “Zhanuya” complex thanked the “AYALA” foundation and the Samsung Electronics Company for the gift and demonstrated their culinary skills. They cooked and baked a lot of treats, laid the table, warmly greeted benefactors. After treats pupils arranged a small concert.
