A gazillion of smiles, high spirits and positive! Almaty children have remembered the celebration of Smile Day in this way. Last Friday in May the pupils from orphanage of south capital and Talgar region had a tremendous time in the park “Fantasy World Almaty”. Exciting attractions, delicious lunches and, of course, ice-cream! This day the children’s laugh could be heard everywhere.

In total, 559 children took part in this event. These were pupils of the city orphanages #1, #2, specialized complex “Zhanuya”, regional orphanage #1, SOS children’s village of Almaty, orphanages of family type “Nur” and “Ark” (Kovcheg) of Talgar region.

The celebration of this holiday has been organized by the charity foundations “AYALA” and “DARA” for the ninth year in a row. Every year the venue remains unchanged, as well as a presenter of the Smile Day. Alexander Shumskiy can always bring the children on and cheer them up. Furthermore, this year the support was provided by companies LVMH Perfumes&Cosmetics, Starbucks, Green Bus and also by private sponsors.

The Smile Day marks the end of intensive academic year and beginning of the long-awaited summer vacation for the children who turned out to be left without parental care due to the different reasons. It is pleasant to mention that this day the weather was warm and rainless despite all forecasts of weather reporters.
