The children found out about the most romantic profession straight from the first hands. Air stewards from “Air Astana” Airline Company met with the pupils of SOS children’s village Astana. The meeting was organized by the charity foundation “AYALA”. For two hours Spartak Mukhametzhanov and Botagoz Alimzhanova told exciting stories about the work in the sky. The children discovered how to behave correctly on the airliner’s board, how to provide the first medical aid, what abilities and skills are required to become an air steward, what to do if there is a bomb on the board and many other things. Once, the life of an old woman was rescued thanks to the application of their knowledge on practice. The guests also shared with their funny life stories. Moreover, the air stewards have their own superstitious beliefs. For example, you shouldn’t sew a button before a flight. Spartak and Botagoz advised the children to learn languages. The sky profession requires the knowledge of, at least, three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
After talking with the children the girls were shown how to do make-up correctly. The master class was conducted by Bibinur Appakova. Then all participants received gifts. The airline company “Air Astana” presented combination makeup for girls and football balls for boys. A photo session was held at the end of the meeting.
