Charity foundations “AYALA” and “DARA” organised “Day of smile 2009” in the park “Fantasy World Almaty”.

“Day of smile” was held for the second time. This is a holiday for children who are being brought up in orphanages. This year more than seven hundred children from four orphanages have been invited.

“Fantasy World Almaty” graciously offered its territory and attractions for the event. Children were very happy. Many of them having ridden one attraction or the carousel immediately stood in line to ride it again.

The mayor of the city Akhmetzhan Yesimov, vice mayor Mr. Seydumanov, head of the Education department of Almaty Ms. Shimasheva, akim of Bostandyk district of Almaty Mrs. Amanzholova, executive director of the foundation of the First President Mr. Mukhamedzhanov, vice-chairman of the executive board of Halyk Bank and representatives of tourist companies “Gloria inc.” visited our holiday. Muslim Muhtarovna presented sport inventory as a gift.

This year all the food for guests were provided by restaurants «Bellagio», «Line Brew», «Mamamia», “Grilyazh”, ”Tubeteika”, «Sadu» and beverage manufacturers “Resmi group” (juices) , “Caspian industries” (water “Vita”), “Continent trade” (water “Tassay”).

Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenova and Kazakh young popular musicians gave a concert. Popular show-man Alexander Shumsky ran the show.

Traditionally this day orphanagesreceive gifts. Last year there were video and photo cameras, sports equipment, and elegant clothes.

This year, children  asked for bars, exercise bicycles, free weights and dumbbells, soft mats for wrestling and acrobatics, other sports equipment and children homes received these gifts from sponsors of this holiday.

We phoned orphanages to learn about their impression about the holiday. We were told that the children became absolutely happy, and teachers were pleased that the children that evening went to sleep early and slept dead on their feet.
