“We tried coffee and what young people love now!” - veterans joked during a meeting with pupils of the orphanage of Nur-Sultan. The meeting took place on the eve of Victory Day at Starbucks coffee shop. Representatives of two generations shared their stories. During the war the invited grandparents were from 6 to 14 years old - as many as the children who came to the meeting.
The children listened with interest to the stories of the veterans. So, Alexander Nagorny was born in Donbass and he was 6 years old when the German army entered the territory of the Soviet Union. He clearly remembers how a kind German soldier took him and other children to ride in a military vehicle. And another German soldier showed them photos of his family.
At the event representatives of the elder generation gave young people instructions: not to fall for bad habits, take care of health, listen and respect close ones, teachers and older people in general, and, of course, love the Motherland and protect it if necessary. The meeting was organized by AYALA Charity foundation and Starbucks coffee shop. The akimat of Nur-Sultan arranged transportation for the veterans.
