Today, a ceremony of medical equipment transferring, designed for the care of premature infants was held in the regional perinatal center (RPC) of Petropavlovsk. The cost of the equipment is 15 460 905 tenge.

In 2008 the Republic of Kazakhstan passed on the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) in criteria of live birth. From that moment, live birth considered a baby weighing 500 grams, before this from a Soviet-era live birth was considered children weighing more than 1200 grams. Passing on the WHO standards in our country has dramatically increased rates of infant mortality, which, along with maternal mortality is one of the indicators of development. Passing on the new standards presented new qualification requirements for health workers and equipment of children's resuscitation departments with high-tech medical equipment.

Hospital for in-patients of regional perinatal center, North-Kazakhstan region intended for 135-bed, pediatric resuscitation department for 6 beds. In the RPC occur about 63% of births. In 2011, monthly in average were occurring 658 births. Preterm births were 7.4%.

According to the assistant of the head of Health Department of North Kazakhstan region Mariyam Batanova: "We have long ago heard about the “AYALA” charity project "Breathe, baby". We were looking forward impatiently when the turn comes to our area. From our colleagues from other regions, we learned how effective the implementation of this project. I want to thank the “AYALA” fund and all the people who helped to raise money for the equipment that we have today".

The Acting Chief Physician of Petropavlovsk Perinatal Center Murat Zhyksylykovich Iskakov said: "In our perinatal center concentrated birth with different pathologies of a mother and fetus. Our perinatal center - the maternity hospital of the third level, so besides the urgent childbirths, occur a large number of preterm births. Premature babies require special facilities for nursing, so the equipment we have received today from the "AYALA" charity fund, firstly, will not stand idle, and secondly, will significantly increase the efficiency of our children's resuscitation department".

British-Kazakh Society in 2012 decided, all collected funds during these sporting events, convey to our fund. And we sent the money for the project "Breathe, baby" Petropavlovsk. Except BKS we had a lot of other sponsors like Sberbank, Kioge, Air Astana, Kamkor Management, Trade Commerce Oil, Kaganate, Dialin, and World Class. There have been cases that one or two sponsors helped us to buy equipment for a medical institution, and in the case of Petropavlovsk in the project implementation have helped thousands of people"- said vice-president of the "AYALA" charity fund Zhangeldy Sarsenov.
