This amount was collected in special boxes of AYALA Charity Foundation, installed in a canteen chain in Almaty and in the capital over the past eight years. With this money medical equipment was installed for the resuscitation departments of children's hospitals, maternity hospitals and perinatal centers in 10 cities of Kazakhstan.

Over this period incubators for premature babies, children's resuscitation tables and artificial respiration units were purchased.

“Installation of special medical equipment for nursing premature babies is very effective. With the help of major sponsors and caring people we can save more children's lives. Within the framework of the Breathe, Baby and Breathe Life projects, it became possible to equip perinatal centers, maternity hospitals and children's intensive care units of Kazakhstan hospitals with vital equipment. As a result, infant mortality rates in Kyzylorda region were improved. In 2011 the survival rate of infants in the perinatal center of Almaty increased from 5 to 24%. And all this has become a reality with the support of ordinary Kazakhstan people,” said the head of medical projects at AYALA Charity Foundation Berik Darzhanov.

The boxes that made possible to collect 34,271,878 tenge, are installed in the Qaganat canteen chain. The collaboration began in 2010. As the executive general manager of this company Chinara Bugimbaeva said, the foundation reached out to them for financial support at the time.

 “I offered to put boxes to raise funds in all our canteens. This idea was supported, and we implemented it. I think that it is necessary to help, and I started with this step in such a big and necessary for society project to save lives of babies. I have read a lot of materials about the work of the foundation, positive reviews from those who had received help and support. I realized that I did not made a mistake. Until now the boxes of the foundation are in all our canteens. I want to express my deep gratitude to all our guests, who make donations and help those in need,” said Chinara Bugimbaeva.

At the present, the boxes are installed in all canteens of the Qaganat chain in Almaty and in Nur-Sultan. When a new canteen opens, the boxes for collecting money will appear there.
