From 7th to 15th of February a brigade of cardiac surgeons from the city of Bergamo worked in Almaty. Last week doctors operated 17 seruiously ill children with various congenital heart diseases. 15 babies recovered, unfortunately it was impossible to save two of them with severe pathology.

Surgeons from National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A.N. Syzganov participated in the operations and gained invaluable experience. Italian doctors noted the high professional level of our surgeons.

Our foundation together with foundations “DARA” and “VOM” (‘Voluntary Organisation of Mercy”) provided food to the whole team of doctors in the evenings. “AYALA” foundation expresses heartfelt gratitude to the administration and staff of restaurants “Sherbet”, “Mamamia”, “Assorti” and “Palladium” for the help in taking off the weariness of two countries’ doctors after long hours of operations.
